The second boxing match between Mike Tyson and Evander Holyfield is one of the most notorious in boxing history. Tyson and Holyfield met in Las Vegas on June 28, 1997, after Holyfield defeated Tyson in a shocking upset seven months earlier. After the third round of Tyson-Holyfield II, Tyson was disqualified for biting off a piece of Holyfield’s ear. This shocking act of violence left a black mark on Tyson’s reputation that has dogged him ever since.
The shorts offered in this lot are black satin and feature stitched white text on the belt reading “Hell Yeah I Bit Him” and “Tyson Holyfield” on the legs. Tyson signed these shorts in silver Sharpie. These items come with individual PSA/DNA COAs (7A85911, 7A85915, 7A85907).
