Three-time MVP Alex Rodriguez and the New York Yankees were entering the final season at the old Yankee Stadium in 2008. Rodriguez was also climbing up the all-time home run chart as he entered the 2008 season with 518 home runs. By season’s end, Rodriguez’ home run total would climb to 553. Initially issued to Rodriguez in 2007, this hat was used by the slugger during the 2008 season. The cap shows moderate game use with dirt and sweat stains present throughout. Rodriguez signed his name in silver marker on the brim and inscribed “Game Used 08” and “HR #534,35,36”. Rodriguez hit those three home runs on June 30th, July 2nd and July 6th.
