After starring for the New York Giants in the 1920’s, Frankie Frisch was the man led the infamous Gas House Gang St. Louis Cardinals of the 1930’s. The Fordham-educated skipper often found himself at wit’s end trying to handle the likes of Dizzy Dean, Pepper Martin and Ducky Medwick, but somehow he did, and the Cardinals wound up winning the 1934 World Series. This bat dates from that most memorable of Depression-era seasons. The Hillerich & Bradsby bat shows heavy use with a repaired handle crack. Many ball marks are visible on the right, left and back barrel along with several depressions. Cleat imprints are also present on the left barrel. A great gamer from the leader of the Gas House Gang and this bat comes with a full LOA from PSA/DNA (1B05214) for the game use, with a grade of GU 8.
