One of the greatest players to man the hot corner, George Brett spent his entire 21-year career with the Kansas City Royals. Brett was named to 13 All-Star Games and finished his career with 3,154 hits and a .305 batting average. His best season came in 1980 when he hit .390, slugged 24 home runs, knocked in 118 runs, and won the AL MVP award. Brett was elected to the Hall of Fame in 1999 with 98.2% of the vote. This bat is a Louisville Slugger T85 model and has been signed by Brett on the barrel in blue Sharpie. The bat is 34.25 inches long and features light pine tar staining. Brett wrote his initials and #5 on the knob of the bat. This item comes with a PSA/DNA LOA (AB13671).
