However, this talent could not earn a victory in the 59th Mid-Summer Classic, with the American League team eking out a 2-1 victory behind MVP Terry Steinbach. The first pitch at this game was thrown out by then Vice President George H.W. Bush.

     This Peter Ueberroth Official All-Star Game ball bears the signatures of 32 players and managers with National League manager and Hall of Famer Whitey Herzog’s signature is located on the sweet spot. Other signatures include Hall of Famers Gary Carter, Andre Dawson, Ozzie Smith, Greg Maddux, Ryne Sandberg, and Barry Larkin, with notable signatures including Orel Hershiser, David Cone, Will Clark, Rafael Palmeiro, Andres Galarraga and many more. The signatures are signed in various shades of blue and black ballpoint pen. This item comes with a LOA from PSA/DNA (AC04544).
