1977 saw the beginning of a new era in Dodger baseball as Hall of Famer Tommy Lasorda took over for long-time manager Walter Alston. Lasorda took the reins and led the Dodgers to a 98-64 record, finishing 10 games ahead of the two-time defending champion Cincinnati Reds and knocked off the Philadelphia Phillies in four games (3-1) to win the National League pennant. 27 members of the 1977 team have signed this Official National League Charles S. Feeney baseball. All of the signatures have been signed in blue or black ink and feature Lasorda’s signature on the sweet spot. Other signatures include Dusty Baker, Davey Lopes, Johnny Oates, Steve Garvey, Bert Hooton, Tommy John, Steve Yeager Jeffrey Leonard, Charlie Hough and several others. The ball displays toning, but the signatures are clear. This item comes pre-certified by Steve Grad of Beckett Authentication and a prior JSA Auction Letter.
