The 1986 New York Mets had it all. Their pitching staff, led by Doc Gooden, mowed down batters like it was nothing all season. Their high powered offense was stacked with stars, including Hall of Famer Gary Carter, and All-Stars Darryl Strawberry and Keith Hernandez. The Mets racked up 108 wins during the 1986 season, setting up a showcase World Series with the cursed Boston Red Sox. The Mets prevailed in seven games thanks to one of the most famous errors in baseball history, when Bill Buckner let Mookie Wilson’s ground ball dribble through his legs at first base. The 1986 championship was the Mets second World Series title, and their last to date.

This Rawlings Official World Series ball is signed by 34 members of the 1986 Mets. Manager Davey Johnson’s signature is located on the sweet spot and other signatures include Carter, Strawberry, Hernandez, W.S. MVP Ray Knight, Gooden, Roger McDowell, and more. All the signatures are signed in blue ballpoint pen and comes with a JSA LOA (B97364).
