     Offered is a Spalding Commemorative “Moon Ball” golf ball. Spalding made the moon ball to commemorate Alan Shepard being the first man to hit a golf ball on the moon. The golf ball has a caricature of a small astronaut prepping his back swing with an iron. This ball was signed by commander of the Apollo 14 mission, Alan Shepard in black Sharpie ink and comes with a gold-colored Spalding box that has the silhouette of an astronaut lining up his swing with the wording “FIRST GOLF BALL ON THE MOON * FEBRUARY 6, 1971”. The box is in good shape with edge wear. Shepard’s signature has been pre-certified by Steve Grad of Beckett Authentication.
