Presented are a lot of four baseballs signed by various famous figures. The first is an Official American League Gene A. Budig baseball signed by Hall of Famer Cal Ripken Jr. Known as “The Iron Man” Ripken famously surpassed Lou Gehrig’s consecutive games played at 2,632. He was a 19-time All-Star, a two-time MVP, a two-time Gold Glove Award winner, an eight-time Silver Slugger Award winner, and a 1983 World Series champion. He has signed this ball over the sweet spot in ballpoint pen. The second is an Official Major League Allan H. Selig baseball signed by Herman Cain. Cain is an author, business executive, and political figure. He most notably ran for the 2012 U.S. Republican Party presidential nomination and ultimately gave his endorsement to Republican candidate Mitt Romney. This ball is signed on the upper panel in black ink, inscribed “999” alluding to his “9-9-9 Tax plan proposal.

     The third is an Official National League Leonard S. Coleman baseball signed by Buzz Aldrin. Aldrin is a famous astronaut most famous for being, along with Neil Armstrong, among the first two people to walk on the moon. He has signed this ball in blue ink over the sweet spot. The fourth is an Official Major League Allan H. Selig baseball signed by former Prime Minister Anthony “Tony” Blair. Blair was Prime Minister of the United Kingdom from 1997 – 2007, and along with President George W. Bush led the campaign to the Iraq War/ Iraq invasion. He has signed this ball in the lower panel, beneath the MLB logo in bold black ink. All of the signatures have been pre-certified by Steve Grad of Beckett Authentication.
