     Grover Cleveland Alexander and Dazzy Vance were two of the most dominant pitchers in baseball during the pre-WWII era. Alexander is tied for third all-time in wins, with 373 victories in his 20-year career. Alexander played the majority of his career for the Philadelphia Phillies and Chicago Cubs. He was inducted into the National Baseball Hall of Fame in 1938.

     A.C. “Dazzy” Vance was a power pitcher who was respected and feared for the staggering velocity of his fastball. Vance rode his payoff pitch to 197 wins and the 1924 NL MVP award. In 1955, Vance was inducted into the National Baseball Hall of Fame. Vance signed this Official League baseball on the sweet spot in black pen. He wrote his full name, “A.C. ‘Dazzy’ Vance.” Alexander signed a side panel, writing “G.C. Alexander” in black pen. This item comes with a PSA/DNA LOA (M09839).
