Jose Altuve, the Houston Astros’ second base dynamo, wore this batting helmet during the 2016 All-Star Game. Altuve, in his fourth All-Star appearance, led off for the American League, going 0-3 in his three plate appearances. The American League defeated the National League by a score of 4-2.

     This Rawlings 7 ¼ inch dark blue batting helmet features the Astros’ logo on the front and an orange-on-white decal of Altuve’s number “27” is on the back. The helmet has a Rawlings tag and an MLB Authentic merchandise tag sewn on the inside. The ear flap is over the left ear, as Altuve is a right-handed batter. This helmet comes with an MLB Authenticated hologram (JC 105212), and has been authenticated to the 2016 MLB All-Star Game.
