In 2016 the Chicago Cubs completed one of the most improbable comebacks in MLB history, overturning a 3-1 series deficit to the Cleveland Indians to win their first World Series in 108 years. The Cubs succeeded in this historic comeback off the strength of their elite pitching staff. Every member of the Cubs’ staff won 11 games or more during the regular season, and was anchored by aces John Lester, Jake Arrieta, and Kyle Hendricks.

     Hendricks, the 2016 regular season ERA leader, wore this gray road jersey during Games 4 & 5 of the NLCS against the Los Angeles Dodgers. The Cubs won both games, although Hendricks did not pitch. The Cubs went on to win the NLCS in six games, en route to their first World Series championship since 1908.

     This size 46 Majestic Flex Base gray button-down road jersey features “CHICAGO” sewn on the front of the jersey in blue-on-white tackle twill. Below this Hendricks’ number “28” is sewn on the left chest area in red-on-white tackle twill. The left sleeve has a Cubs’ logo sewn on in tackle twill over a blue embroidered Majestic logo. The right sleeve has a vinyl “2016 Postseason” logo sewn on as well. “HENDRICKS” is sewn across the back in blue-on-white tackle twill, above a red-on-white tackle twill “28.” A vinyl MLB logo is sewn on the outside back collar. The sides of the jersey, as well as the bottom back portion, are made of gray mesh. A Majestic size 46 tag is sewn on the front left tail of the jersey. This jersey comes with an MLB Authenticated hologram (JB 946145) which authenticates this jersey was worn by Hendricks during Games 4 & 5 of the 2016 NLCS.
