After retiring from Major League Baseball, Andruw Jones signed for the Tohoku Rakuten Golden Eagles of the Nippon Professional Baseball league, the top circuit in Japan. Jones played two seasons for the Golden Eagles, in 2013 and 2014. The 2013 season was a triumphant one for the Sendai-based Golden Eagles, as they defeated the traditional powerhouse Yomiuri Giants in the Japan Series, Japan’s equivalent to the World Series.

Jones wore this Mizuno Pro model first baseman’s glove during the 2014 season. That season Jones hit 24 home runs and knocked in 71 RBI. Tohoku failed to replicate their previous seasons success, as they failed to reach the playoffs.

This glove has a red body, with a light green camouflage pattern on the webbing and wrist. The likeness of Clutch and Clutchina, the mascots for the Golden Eagles, are sewn on the body of the glove. Jones’ name is sewn onto the glove is Japanese lettering along with his number 25. Jones signed outside thumb slot of the glove in silver Sharpie. This item comes with a Jones LOA.
