For the first month and a half of the 2008 season you couldn’t get Albert Pujols out. The St. Louis Cardinals’ first baseman hit safely in 42 straight games. He went on to hit his 300th career home run in June and at the end of the year, finished with 100-plus RBI - making him the first player in history to knock in 100 or more runs in his first eight seasons. When it was all over, Pujols won his second NL MVP Award and his work outside the ballpark made him the 2008 recipient of the Roberto Clemente Award. Pujols’ Marucci PujolsCC model bat shows heavy use and is un-cracked. Pujols’ number “5” is written on the knob end. The Cardinals’ star has signed and inscribed the barrel in silver pen. This bat comes with a full LOA from PSA/DNA (1B10920) for the game use and a LOA from Steve Grad of Beckett Authentication (A03075) for his signature.
