Offered here is framed display featuring the autographs of two Hall of Fame baseball players, Hugh Duffy and Harry Heilmann.

Duffy was a star in the early days of the National League, and played in the Players League in its only season of operation. He played from 1888 to 1906, a lawless and wild era in baseball history. In 1894 Duffy set a major league record with a .440 batting average, an astronomical mark. Duffy was involved in baseball until his death in 1953, as a do-it-all emissary for the Boston Red Sox.

His autograph is written in black pen on a 3 x 5 inch notecard, and contains the inscription “Red Sox Coach.” Also included is a portrait of Duffy wearing a Boston uniform.

The other player included in this display, Harry Heilmann, entered the Major Leagues in 1914 with the Detroit Tigers. Nicknamed “Slug” for his meandering pace on the basepaths, Heilmann spent 15 of his 17 seasons with the Detroit ballclub. Heilmann was a superb hitter who accomplished the incredible rare feat of hitting over .400 in a season, when he batted .403 in 1923. In 1952, Heilmann was elected to the Baseball Hall of Fame. Heilmann signed a 3 x 5 inch lined notecard in gray pencil. The notecard is placed underneath a portrait of Heilmann by the same artist who created the portrait of Duffy. The picture shows Heilmann facing the camera, wearing his Detroit Tigers jersey. This display comes in an 11 x 29 inch frame and comes with a JSA LOA (X78695).
