Presented here are two photographs of the late great Muhammad Ali. Born Cassius Clay, Ali would become the face of boxing during the 1960s and 1970s. Ali was known for his unconventional style, which included theatrics, and baiting his opponents by keeping his hands down, using quick foot work, and accurate counter punching to defeat his opponents. Ali was very much a showman and frequently trash talked his opponents using rhymes and catch phrases. Ali would become a three time World Heavyweight Champion, and arguably one of the greatest boxers of all time.
This piece depicts a young Ali wearing a Cassius Clay shirt. The second picture shows Ali wrapping his hands up as he prepares to fight. Both photographs are black and white. Furthermore, a small cut under the pictures features Ali’s signature written in bold blue ink. This piece is matted and framed standing 24 ½ x 20 inches. Included with this item is a LOA from PSA/DNA (A72297).
