Featured are a lot of three baseballs, each signed by different African American baseball legends. The first is an Official Major League Allan. H. Selig baseball signed by Maury Wills. Wills’ outstanding resume includes being a seven-time All-Star, a two-time Gold Glove Award winner, and a three-time World Series champion. He has autographed this ball in ball point pen and inscribed “30” on it. This ball comes encased in a plastic covering by PSA/DNA (81964195) and has been graded a MINT 9. There is also a PSA/DNA STICKER ONLY on the baseball (G60884).
The second is an Official American League Gene A. Budig baseball signed by Larry Dobby. Larry was the second black player to join the MLB and first in the American League, and helped break down the color barrier of the Major League. Doby as well as teammate Satchel Paige would be the first black players to ever win a World Series. Aside from being a World Series champ, Doby was also a Negro Leagues champion, and a seven-time All-Star. He has signed this ball in bold blue ink across the sweet spot and this ball comes with a COA from PSA/DNA (K34087).
The third is an Official Major League Baseball Allan H. Selig Commissioned baseball signed by Buck O’Neil. John O’Neil was a player/manager for the Kansas City Monarchs of the Negro American League. He was known for being the first African American coach in Major League baseball and he has signed this ball over the sweet spot with his full name in bold blue ink. This ball comes encased in a plastic covering and includes a COA from PSA/DNA (T02228) and has been graded a 9 for the signature, baseball and overall.
