Kobe Bryant threw a curveball to Los Angeles Lakers fans when he took to the boards in 2006 wearing number “24” instead of the “8” his fans were familiar with. Turns out that Kobe wore “24” all through high school and was issued “8” when another Laker was wearing “24” his rookie year. When the number opened up in 2006, Kobe jumped at the familiar digits. This yellow mesh jersey was worn by Bryant during that 2006-2007 season when he taught the NBA to fear the number “24” as much as they had the number “8”.
This jersey has “LAKERS” and Bryant’s number “24” on the front in purple and white tackle twill. Adidas size “54” label is sewn in the lower left front tail with “2006-2007” and “LENGTH +4” hang tags. Purple and white trim runs down each side of the jersey. The back of the jersey has “BRYANT” and his number “24” in purple and white tackle twill. The Lakers star has signed the number “2” in black marker and an NBA hologram (LL 017738) has been affixed beside the number “4”. The jersey shows moderate game use with a few loose threads on the lettering and no tears or staining. The jersey comes with a full LOA from the Los Angeles Lakers (LL 017738) for the game use and signature.
