Presented here is a lithograph of baseball standout Pete Rose, who most notably played for the Cincinnati Reds. Pete Rose, known as “Charlie Hustle” is the all-time MLB leader in hits, games played, at-bats, singles, and outs. Furthermore his accolades include winning three World Series, an MVP award, two Gold Gloves, Rookie of the Year, and being a 17-time All-Star in an unprecedented five different positions. Rose would ultimately lose his eligibility for the Hall of Fame after numerous scandals emerged of him betting on games while he was a player/manager for the Reds.
This lithograph piece includes Charlie Hustle in his more familiar Cincinnati Reds uniform. He is depicted in three images, with the left showing him squinting, eyeing the ball. On the right he can be seen leaping for the base, while on the bottom he is seen ready to bat. Rose’s signature can be found at the very bottom in bold blue ink.
