Featured are two signed black and white photographs of Hall of Fame pitchers Dizzy Dean and Carl Hubbell. The first photograph is of Hall of Fame pitcher and commentator Dizzy Dean. His accolades include being a being a four-time All-Star, a National League MVP in 1934, as well as being a World Series champion that same year. Following his professional baseball career, Dean would enjoy success as a commentator for several teams including: The Cardinals, Brown, Yankees, and the Atlanta Braves. Dean has autographed this photo in blue ink and inscribed: “Best Wishes To James From your Pal”. This photograph is both matted and framed measuring 14 x 16 inches.
The second photograph is of New York Giants standout and legend Carl Hubbell. As a pitcher, Hubbell would be a nine-time All-Star, a two-time National League MVP, and a World Series champion. Hubbell had won 24 consecutive games between 1936 and 1937, and was among the best pitchers of his time. This photograph includes Hubell’s signature written in blue ink over his jersey. This item comes matted and framed standing 15 ½ x 18 inches. These items includes a prior JSA Auction Letter and comes pre-certified by Steve Grad of Becket Authentication.
