New York Mets Hall of Fame catcher Mike Piazza wore this jersey during an August 9, 2005 game against the San Diego Padres. The Padres defeated the Mets 8-3 that game behind a strong outing from pitcher Chan Ho Park. Piazza, in his last season with the Mets, went 0-4. However, this game was not indicative of his season as he was named an All-Star for the 12th time in his career. Piazza retired after the 2007 season.

This Majestic size 50 button-down road gray Mets jersey features “NEW YORK” sewn across the front in blue-on-orange tackle twill with black drop shadow. Piazza’s number “31” is sewn on the front and back in blue-on-orange tackle twill with black drop shadow. “PIAZZA” is sewn across the back shoulders in blue-on-orange tackle twill with black drop shadow. A circular Mets skyline logo is sewn on the left sleeve. This jersey features blue piping down the front and around the collar and sleeve openings. A Majestic tag with size “50” flag is sewn on the inside of the front left tail. A blue and orange MLB logo is sewn on the outside of the back collar. The jersey shows light game use. Piazza signed the back of the jersey, underneath his number “31.” His signature is penned in blue Sharpie. This jersey comes with a MLB Authenticated hologram (MT 00500917), a JSA sticker only (G56018), and a Mets LOA.
