In 1941, New York Yankees centerfielder Joe DiMaggio pulled off one of the most incredible feats in baseball history. DiMaggio hit safely in 56 consecutive games, beating the modern record by 15 games. This record is regarded as one of the most unbreakable baseball achievements. DiMaggio won the American League MVP Award in 1941, finishing the season with a .357 batting average, 30 home runs, and 125 RBI.

This lithograph shows DiMaggio swinging for the fences while wearing the Yankees road grays. The lithograph is titled “My 56th Consecutive Game Hit,” and features DiMaggio’s autograph in black pen. DiMaggio added the inscription “The Yankee Clipper,” his famous nickname. This lithograph was made by Steven Gardner, and is one of only nine artist’s proofs of this lithograph. The lithograph is framed in a 30 x 35 inch mahogany-colored frame. This item comes with a Yankee Clipper LOA.
