Presented here is a signed cut by old school Hall of Famer Fred C. Clarke. Clarke played for the Louisville Colonels and Pittsburg Pirates. While playing for the Pirates he led them to victory during the 1909 World Series over the Detroit Tigers. Clarke had a 35-game hitting streak in 1895, which was the second longest hitting streak at the time.
This featured cut has Clarke’s signature written in black ink. The cut measures 5 x 3 inches. The paper shows some obvious signs of aging, but the signature remains fully intact, as it is clear and entirely legible.
