Babe Ruth Auction To Benefit Babe Ruth Foundation Closing February 18
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 2/18/2017
This pass, which granted the bearer free admission to any American League ballpark, was valid during the historic 1929 season. This historic season saw Babe Ruth hit his 500th career home run at Cleveland on August 11th, a mark previously thought unreachable. The holder of this pass may very well have attended that game at Dunn Field, or the inimitable Miller Huggins final MLB game, or a game at Shibe Park, home of the World Champion Philadelphia Athletics. This pass was awarded to William Hayer, and is numbered 170. This pass was good for games in Chicago, Boston, Detroit, New York, Cleveland, Philadelphia, St. Louis, and Washington, D.C. This item has been encapsulated by PSA/DNA (17478840), who graded it an EX-MT 6. Goldin Auctions will be donating 5% of the winning bid price of this lot and all lots in this auction to the Babe Ruth Birthplace Museum.
