The latest in a long line of superstar Los Angeles Dodger backstops, Hall of Famer Mike Piazza exploded in the summer of 1995 for a then career-high average of .346. His 32 home runs, 93 RBI, combined with his deft handling of the pitching staff, led the Dodgers into the post season.
Offered is this 1995 Mike Piazza Rawlings Pro model bat that shows light use with a cracked handle that has been taped. There is a 1 x 6 inch piece missing from the handle. There are a few ball marks and ball stitch impressions that are visible on the left and back barrel, including some black ink transfers. The barrel also has cleat marks that are visible. There is a light coating of pine tar on the handle and there are red bat rack streaks and other black streaks from contact with other bats. There is a light coating of pine tar on the lower handle and “MP31” has been stamped onto the knob indicating the model number. “31” has also been hand written in black marker on the knob. Piazza signed the bat in black marker on barrel and inscribed “G/U”. The bat comes with a full LOA from PSA/DNA (1B03034). There is also a COA from PSA/DNA (4A10538) for the signature.
