One of America’s most popular presidents, Theodore Roosevelt was a man of vast interests not limited to the office of the Presidency. A veteran of the Spanish-American War, Roosevelt established the National Park service and became known for his progressive policies favoring the American worker. A masterful negotiator, Roosevelt was awarded a Nobel Peace Prize for negotiating the end of the Russo-Japanese War. Roosevelt was a lifelong outdoorsman, known almost as much for his vigorous spirit as his political achievements. Famously, Roosevelt attempted to run for the office of president in the 1912 election after being frustrated by the conservatism of William Howard Taft. His Bull Moose Party, while unsuccessful, left a lasting impact on American politics during the 20th century.
