Presented here is the cover to a copy of Sports Illustrated’s February 8th, 1965 issue signed by Jerry West. West, then in his fifth season in the NBA, is drawn on the cover in a suit with his back to the viewer, his number “44” jersey slung over his right shoulder. Already an established star in 1965, West played 14 seasons in the NBA and made 14 All-Star teams. He was inducted into the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame in 1980. West signed this SI cover in silver marker. This item, which comes in a 13 x 16 inch framed display, is accompanied by a COA from Upper Deck (BAB79976).
