Former NFL wide receiver Jimmy Smith was selected in the second round by the Dallas Cowboys in 1992 (36th overall). After an injury during the traditional Blue-White scrimmage game in which he broke his right fibula, Smith was limited to special teams during his rookie campaign and played in seven games. Smith appeared in two playoff games as the Cowboys stormed through the NFC to reach Super Bowl XXVII.

Smith was presented with this Super Bowl XVII Champions ring, following the Cowboys dominant victory over the Buffalo Bills 52-17 at the Rose Bowl in Pasadena, California. This was the Cowboy’s first Super Bowl victory since defeating the Denver Broncos in Super Bowl XII. This was the start of a run of three Super Bowl victories in four seasons that matched them with the Pittsburgh Steelers and San Francisco 49ers. 54 diamonds are inside a football shape surrounding one diamond inside a blue star in this exquisite ring. “DALLAS” and “COWBOYS” are in raised gold lettering that surround the football filled diamonds, with two diamonds on each end of the raised lettering that total eight additional diamonds. The right shank has a raised gold “*WORLD* CHAMPIONS 1992” with the colored Super Bowl XXVII logo and above the gold-raised “52-17” score on a black background. The left shank has a raised “SMITH” above a full color raised NFL logo with “16” and “3” on each side indicating the Cowboys full regular season and playoff record and Smith’s position “WR” and number “82”. The ring is a size 14 ½ and approximately 55 grams, and the ring comes with a LOA from PSA/DNA verifying its authenticity.
