After spending his first 12 seasons with the Texas Rangers, Hall of Fame catcher Ivan Rodriguez joined the Florida Marlins in 2003 and promptly led them to their first ever World Series title. Rodriguez then joined the Detroit Tigers starting in 2004 and stayed with the club until being traded to the New York Yankees in 2008.

Offered is a Detroit Tigers batting helmet worn by Rodriguez during the 2006 season where he batted .300 with 13 home runs and 69 RBI. This navy blue size 7 ½ Tigers helmet features the Olde English “D” affixed on the front in white. The helmet has an ear flap on the left side and is constructed of high impact ABS plastic with foam padding on the inner lining, top and ear flap. The back of the helmet has the MLB logo sticker and Rodriguez’s number “7”. Rodriguez signed his name in silver marker on the upper portion to the right of the “D” and inscribed “#7”. Please note there are abrasion marks on the top of the “I” and the lower portion of the “R” in his signature, but it is still clear. The helmet displays outstanding use and is cracked in two spots – a small crack the left bill and a larger crack on the left side and both cracks have been taped. This item comes with a LOA from JT Sports for the game use and a COA from SGC (AA00665) for his signature.
