Elway led the Denver Broncos to the first of consecutive Super Bowl victories in 1997. The Hall of Fame quarterback, first overall pick by the Baltimore Colts in 1983, was known for his clutch performances, including 6 memorable playoff-game winning drives. This game-used pullover mesh and spandex Broncos home jersey exhibits the color scheme and style first introduced in 1997. The navy blue jersey with orange side trim and collar bears Elway’s tackle-twill white number “7” on the front and back, and both shoulders. “Elway” in white lettering is stitched to a blue nameplate and sewn across the rear shoulders. A white Nike Swoosh is stitched to each shoulder below the number. “Broncos” is embroidered in white above the front number. In the lower left hip area, the Nike Team Sports, cloth tag is stitched. “NFL Pro Line” shares the right side of this tag. At the collar back, a cloth, white tag is embroidered with “97 – 48.” The white, cloth washing instruction tag is stitched to the internal right-side seam. The NFL Shield insignia is sewn to the vertex of the collar. Comes with an LOA from game-worn jersey expert Dave Miedema.
