In 1974-75, the Philadelphia Flyers won their second consecutive Stanley Cup Finals – the last trophy to date in Philadelphia hockey history. Led by the indomitable goaltender Bernie Parent, “The Broad Street Bullies” fought and checked their way to a Finals meeting with the Buffalo Sabres in the only Stanley Cup Finals between 1965 and 1979 to not feature either the Boston Bruins or Montreal Canadiens. The Flyers won the Cup in six games, with the indefatigable Parent winning his second consecutive Conn Smythe Trophy.
This replica championship banner measures 61 x 34 inches, and features the text “NHL Stanley Cup Champions 1974-75” and a Flyers logo printed on the front. It has been signed by 24 members of the Flyers, as well as beloved team owner and chairman Ed Snider. The remaining signatures include Parent, Bobby Clarke, Terry Crisp, Rick McLeish, Dave Schultz, Ed Van Impe, Orest Kindrachuk, Reggie Leach, Ted Harris, Andre Dupont, Jim Watson, Joe Watson, Gary Dornhoefer, Bill Clement, Wayne Stephenson, and several more. The signatures have been written in black marker. This item comes with a LOA from SGC (AA03120).
