Already a young star with the Indians after winning the American League Rookie of the Year Award in 1971, it was Chambliss' 1974 trade to the Yankees that put him in the national spotlight as his bat helped bring three consecutive pennants to New York. His exciting home run against the Royals in the 1976 ALCS won the pennant for the Yankees and he simply excelled in post season play.
This Adirondack 194A model bat dates to the 1971-1979 seasons, shows moderate game use and is un-cracked. There are ball marks on the barrel, along with checking or grain swelling from repeated ball contact on the back barrel. Chambliss' number "10" is hand written on the knob end and a light coating of Mota Stick is on the upper handle. This bat comes with a LOA from PSA/DNA (1B14907) who have graded this bat a solid GU 8.
