This base was used during the third inning of Game 4 of the 2015 NLDS between the New York Mets and Los Angeles Dodgers. This game, which took place at Citi Field, finished 3-1 in favor of the Dodgers, with ace pitcher Clayton Kershaw throwing seven innings of one run ball. The Dodgers victory tied the series at two games apiece, although the Mets would seize Game 5 with a 3-2 victory. This base has been signed by the four key members of the Mets pitching rotation, Matt Harvey, Noah Syndergaard, Steven Matz, and Jacob deGrom. Each Met signed in black marker, inscribing their nickname beneath their signature. Harvey wrote “The Dark Knight”, Syndergaard wrote “THOR”, deGrom wrote “deGrominator”, and Matz wrote “Amazin’ Matz”. The top of this base features a 2015 NLDS logo, and Mets NLDS logo plaques are located on each side of the base. This base, which was used as third base, comes with a LOA from Steve Grad of Beckett Authentication (A84405) and a MLB Authenticated hologram (HZ 497375).
