Presented here is a baseball used during the Atlanta Braves April 8th, 2011 game against the Philadelphia Phillies. Braves third baseman Chipper Jones, a likely future Hall of Famer, recorded the 2,500th hit of his MLB career during this game. The 1999 National League MVP finished the game 2-4 with three RBI and a walk, bumping his season batting average to a stratospheric .345. This ball was pitched to Martin Prado by Cliff Lee in the bottom of the second inning. Prado fouled the ball off and it was subsequently taken out of play. This Official Major League Allan H. Selig baseball comes with a MLB Authenticated hologram (FJ 180065), which dates use to the April 8th game.
