Presented here is a ticket from the Atlanta Braves and Cincinnati Reds game on August 1st, 1978 at Atlanta-Fulton County Stadium. Pete Rose went 0-4 with a walk, ending his 44 game hitting streak. Rose’s 44 game streak was the second longest streak of all-time contained in one season, behind Joe DiMaggio’s 56 game streak. Rose, who collected his 3,000th career hit earlier that season, was undaunted by his hitting streak ending, finishing the season with yet another .300 batting average. This ticket stub, which has “Rose Ends Streak” written on the back in blue pen, has been encapsulated and graded a NM-MT 8 (MK) by PSA/DNA (23808526).
