Although eternally overshadowed by his older brother Joe, Dom DiMaggio was an excellent baseball player in his own right. A seven-time All-Star for the Boston Red Sox, Dom finished his career with an excellent .298 batting average. Along with Joe and oldest brother Vince, Dom was part of baseball’s first family.

DiMaggio’s had two solid seasons while using this offered Louisville Slugger O1 during the 1946 and 1947 seasons. In these two seasons, DiMaggio batted an even .300 while hitting 15 home runs and driving in 144 and was a key player for the Red Sox’s American League pennant winning team in 1946. The Red Sox lost a hard-fought and heart-breaking seven game World Series to the St. Louis Cardinals in 1946, which was the team's first appearance in the World Series since the Babe Ruth-led team of 1918. This un-cracked bat has several ball marks and stitch impressions on the barrel. There are green and blue bat rack marks visible on the barrel and knob and a light coating of pine tar is on the handle. DiMaggio signed his name with a thin blue marker on the barrel. This bat comes with a full LOA from PSA/DNA (1B09639), who have graded this bat a near perfect GU 9 and a COA from Steve Grad of Beckett Authentication (C84541) for his signature.
