The Philadelphia 76ers won their third NBA title in franchise history during the 1982-83 season, but what made this run special, was the franchise’s second best ever regular season record and a dominant playoff run, culminating in the four-game sweep of the Los Angeles Lakers. Led by “Dr. J” Julius Erving, the Sixers soared to a 12-1 playoff record, which is the third best mark in NBA history, only trailing the 15-1 Lakers of 2001 and the 16-1 Golden State Warriors of 2017.
Offered is a pair of white mesh Philadelphia 76ers shorts, worn by Julius “Dr. J” Erving during the 1982-1983 season. These shorts are Wilson size 38 with a patch reading “82 6” stitched on the inside back indicating the year and the player. The waistband has elastic, red, white and blue striping, with a drawstring in the front interior. Both legs also bordered with red, white and blue on edges. The 76ers logo patch is on bottom of right thigh. These shorts show nice game use and have both Wilson and Pearson tagging. This item comes with a LOA from noted basketball expert Alan Meza.
