Vincent Smith enjoyed a solid career as a running back for the Michigan Wolverines, rushing for 1,269 yards and 10 touchdowns across his four seasons in Ann Arbor between 2009 and 2012. Unfortunately for Smith, the most notable play of his career came on a thunderous Jadeveon Clowney hit during the 2013 Outback Bowl against South Carolina. With 8:21 remaining in the fourth quarter, Smith took a handoff from Michigan QB Devin Gardner, barely touching the ball before Clowney eviscerated the Michigan offensive line and slammed into Smith with devastating force. Both the ball and Smith’s helmet went flying, with USC recovering the fumble. USC would score on the very next play, a 31 yard pass from Connor Shaw to Ace Sanders, en route to a wild 33-28 victory.

Smith wore both these maize pants and this white and blue undershirt during the 2013 Outback Bowl. The pants are bright yellow, with a blue tackle twill “M” sewn on the top of the left thigh and a blue Adidas logo embroidered on the top of the right thigh. The knee pads remain in these size “L” pants. Smith has signed the left leg in black marker, writing “Game Worn 1/1/13 Outback Bowl”, “Final Game”, and “#2 Go Blue!” These pants show light wear, and were washed after the game. The shirt is white, with blue shoulders and the blue text “It’s Great To Be A Michigan Wolverine” printed on the chest. Smith has written “Outback Bowl Game Used 1/1/13” on the chest, although he did not add his signature. These items come with a LOA from noted game used jersey expert Dave Miedema for game use, and a LOA from Steve Grad of Beckett Authentication for the signature (A83994).
