There’s a light coating of pine tar on the handle and Altuve’s number “27” is hand written in blue marker on a green and white TLBATS.com sticker on the knob. There is chipping on the knob and the barrel has a cupped end with Alutve’s number “27” written in black marker on the inside. There is a mark on the handle that identifies the grain, which has been mandatory per Major League Baseball for all maple bats since 2009.
