As one of the rising stars of the Boston Red Sox, Xander Bogaerts looks to be the everyday shortstop for years to come. Bogaerts made his debut in late 2013 and earned a spot on the postseason roster as the Red Sox marched to their third World Series title in 10 seasons. Bogaerts had a solid .294 batting average and a career-high 21 home runs during the 2016 season as he helped the Red Sox win the American League Eastern Division title.

Bogaerts used this Tucci TL-KFP48-M model bat during May 27th, 2016 game at Toronto. This two-colored maple bat shows outstanding use and has a crack on the cupped end of the barrel. There are many ball marks and stitch impressions on the right, front and back barrel. On all sides of the barrel there are several cleat marks and there is a heavy coat of Mota Stick on the handle. There is a mark on the handle that identifies the grain, which has been mandatory per Major League Baseball for all maple bats since 2009. Bogaerts’ number “2” is in black on a gold sticker affixed to the knob. This bat comes with a MLB Authenticated hologram (JB064815), which authenticates use of this bat by Bogaerts during the May 27th game and that the bat was cracked in the top of the fifth inning.
