Cleveland Indians slugger Edwin Encarnacion spent the 2015 season with the Toronto Blue Jays, where he belted 39 home runs, drove in 111 and had a respectable .277 batting average. Encarnacio also reached the 250 home run plateau and set the Blue Jays franchise record for home runs during the 2016 season.
Encarnacion used this all-black Marucci EE110 Custom Cut M model bat during the May 4th, 2015 contest against the Yankees from the Rogers Centre. Encarncion broke this bat during the bottom of the fourth inning against Yankees’ pitcher Chase Whitley on a ground out. This bat displays outstanding use and has a large crack on the handle. There are numerous ball marks, stitch impressions and blue ink transfers present on the barrel. There is a coating of pine tar on the handle and Encarncion’s number “10” is stamped on the knob in white, along with the stamping on the knob of the manufacture date “04/22/15”. There is a mark on the handle that identifies the grain, which has been mandatory per Major League Baseball for all maple bats since 2009. This bat comes with a MLB Authenticated hologram number (HZ764653), which authenticates this bat’s use by Encarnacion during the May 4th game in which he broke this bat in the bottom of the fourth inning.
