Graded 40 VG 3 by SGC. Hall of Famer. Presented is the very popular "background cartoon" variety of this classic Joe DiMaggio issue. The Goudey Gum Company's fortunes were approaching the wane – but DiMaggio's were only beginning to be explored – as this delightful piece was released to consumers. The offered card has undergone the expected evidence of physical aging and admiring handling since that time. But its colors remain as vibrant as ever, and evenly distributed corner rounding has brought very little impairment to the piece's satisfying overall aesthetic. This is an early DiMaggio collectible that never fails to evoke positive feelings in the observer. Very Good condition.
