Under head coach Urban Meyer, the Florida Gators went 13-1 in 2008, a season that ended with wins over # 1 Alabama in the SEC Championship Game and over # 2 Oklahoma to win the BCS Championship. Quarterback Tim Tebow did it all, leading the Gators in passing yards (2,746) and touchdowns (30), while also leading the team in rushing yards (673) and TDs (12). Averaging 43.6 points per game, Florida State’s only loss was by a single point, 31-30, to Ole Miss.

Presented here is a 2008 Florida Gators NCAA Football National Championship Ring, manufactured by Jostens. The face features a large orange colored stone in the shape of a football, with a blue number “1” set on top. A bed of CZs surrounds the stone setting and “NATIONAL CHAMPIONS” reads in relief lettering on the perimeter. The FedEx BCS National Championship logo appears on one shank of the ring, with “HURT” above it. A beautifully done, enamel-filled Gators logo is displayed on the opposite shank, along with “FLORIDA GATORS FOOTBALL” and their 13-1 record. Inside the band is inscribed “It’s What We Do” as well as the manufacturer mark and ELT (Silver Elite). This ring weighs approximately 53.9 grams and is an approximate size 17.
