Sergeant Gerald Hill of the Dallas Police Department was a key figure in the apprehension of Lee Harvey Oswald, the assassin of John F. Kennedy. Hill was the officer who led the immediate investigation of the Texas School Book Depository, finding the sniper's perch, spent shell casings, and rifle that gave away the position of Oswald on the building’s sixth floor. Later in the day, Hill responded to a tip directing him to the Texas Theatre, where he found, apprehended, and handcuffed Lee Harvey Oswald. Hill wore this sports jacket during the events of November, 22nd, 1963, both when he arrested Oswald and later, when he gave a press conference to reporters about the fateful day. This black sports jacket is a three-button jacket, although the middle button is missing. This jacket comes with a Letter of Authenticity from Officer Gerald L. Hill.
