The Yakima Sun Kings franchise of the Continental Basketball Association (CBA) was first founded in 1985, as the Kansas City Sizzlers. In 1990 the team moved to Yakima (in the state of Washington) and went on to win five league championships (1995, 2000, 2003, 2006, 2007). Offered here is a 1999-2000 Yakima Sun Kings CBA Championship ring, manufactured by Balfour. Former NBA player Bob Thornton served as an assistant coach for this champion Sun Kings team. The face of this gold-plated ring features a large round CZ set on a beautiful purple-colored stone. “CBA CHAMPIONS” appears around the bezel setting. The CBA league logo, along with “1999-2000”, is displayed on one shank of the ring, with the name “MICKLES” (team Chapel Representative Lynn Mickles) and the Sun Kings team logo shown on the opposite shank. Inside the band of this approximate size 12 ring is the BALFOUR stamp. Weight is approximately 22.7 grams and comes with owner's original purchase LOA and a Balfour ring box.
