The Brampton Excelsiors - a box lacrosse team from Brampton, Ontario – were founded back in 1883. They won their first Mann Cup, which is the trophy given to Canada’s championship lacrosse team, back in 1930 and the team would win 11 total titles in franchise history. One of those championship seasons came in 1992, as Brampton dominated Major Series Lacrosse (MSL), ending with a defeat of the Peterborough Lakers in the finals.
Presented here is a 1992 Brampton Excelsiors Canadian League Lacrosse Championship ring, manufactured by the Jostens company. This 10K gold ring features the letters “BE” on a large red stone top. “CANADIAN CHAMPIONS” reads around the bezel setting. One shank features lacrosse sticks over a banner displaying the year 1992. The name “GRANT” and number 17 appear at the top, with “28-1” below. Centering the opposite shank is an image of the Mann Cup, with lettering declaring “MANN CUP CHAMPIONS”, as well as several engraved banners. JOSTENS 10K is stamped inside the band of this approximate size 10 ring. This item weighs approximately 21.9 grams and comes with owner's original purchase LOA.
