The Hurricanes entered the College World Series as the top-ranked team, and promptly swept their way to the title, winning the World Series with a 6-5 victory over rival - and second-ranked - Florida State on June 19^th. Manufactured by Herff Jones and weighing approximately 41.8 grams, this ring features a CZ-filled “1” set atop a large green stone. “MIAMI NATIONAL CHAMPIONS” appears in relief work around the bezel setting, with three additional CZs below. The right shank of the ring lists the name “PEREZ” above a Miami enamel logo, with the NCAA logo inside the U. Below reads “UNDEFEATED 9-0”. Appearing on the opposite shank is a depiction of a baseball field, with “50-13” representing the Hurricanes overall record. “FOCUS” and the year 1999 appear at the bottom.
