Longtime MLB closer Lee Smith wore this jersey during the 1994 season with the Baltimore Orioles. Despite the player’s strike that wiped out the final portion of the season, Smith led all of baseball with 33 saves and was rewarded with his sixth All-Star Game selection. The hard-throwing closer finished fifth in the American League Cy Young Award voting, appearing in the top five for the third time in his career.

This gray road button down jersey has “Orioles” sewn across the chest in black and orange tackle twill. Smith’s number “47” is sewn on the front and back in black and orange tackle twill. “SMITH” is sewn across the back shoulders in black and orange tackle twill over a matching gray nameplate. A MLB 125th Anniversary patch is sewn on the right sleeve above a black Russell Athletic logo. A Russell Athletic size “52” tag with an attached “+3[inch] Body Length” flag is sewn on the front left tail of the jersey. Smith signed the “4” digit on the back in silver marker, adding the inscription “Game Used”. This item comes with a LOA from Smith himself.
