Longtime California/Anaheim Angels closer Troy Percival wore this home jersey during the 1996 MLB season, his first as the Angels primary fireman. Percival, an All-Star in 1996, appeared in 62 games and recorded 36 saves while striking out 100 batters in only 74 innings. Percival pitched in the Major Leagues until 2009, making four All-Star teams and winning the 2002 World Series with the Angels. He recorded 358 saves in his career, the 11th highest total of all-time.

This white, button down jersey has “ANGELS” sewn across the chest in red, navy blue, and white tackle twill. “PERCIVAL” and his number “40” are sewn on the back of the jersey in red and navy blue tackle twill. A “CA” patch is sewn on the left sleeve. The chest, collar, and sleeves of this jersey are accented with navy blue piping. A Wilson tag with an attached size “48” flag is sewn on the front left tail of the jersey. A “48 96” swatch is sewn below the Wilson tag. Percival signed the back of the jersey between his name and number in black marker. This jersey, which shows moderate use, comes with a LOA from JSA for the signature and a LOA from noted game used jersey expert Dave Miedema for game use.
