Soon-to-be Hall of Famer Ray Lewis wore this purple Nike On Field size 44 Baltimore Ravens jersey during their visit to Philadelphia on September 16, 2012. Despite Lewis’ five tackles and a fumble recovery, the Eagles edged the Raves 24-23 at Lincoln Financial Field. This jersey displays outstanding use with numerous grass and dirt stains, consistent with the play of a dominant linebacker. Lewis’ number “52” is sewn on the front, back and shoulders in white, gold and black tackle twill. The back of the jersey has “R. LEWIS” sewn on in white on a matching purple mesh nameplate. There is a vinyl NFL shield patch sewn on the base of the purple v-neck with the remaining collar and shortened sleeve ends black. “RAVENS” is embroidered below the NFL shield patch and a commemorative circular black patch with “Art” embroidered in white adorns the upper left chest in honor of longtime Cleveland Browns and Baltimore Ravens owner Art Modell, who passed away 10 days prior to the game in Philadelphia. Each sleeve has Ravens Shield patch modeled after the Maryland state flag. This was not only a Super Bowl Championship year for the Ravens, it was the final season of Ray Lewis' career. This jersey has been photo matched to the September 16th game by Resolution Photomatching, who have provided an LOA that will accompany this item.
